Hard to believe that Halloween has come and gone!
The Auxiliary will be having their monthly fish and shrimp fry Friday, November 4th from 5:00-7:00.
The Post will be hosting the VFW District meeting this Sunday, November 6th. The luncheon will start at 11:30 a.m. with a price of $8 and registration will start at 12:00 noon with the Post and Auxiliary meetings starting at 12:30 p.m.
We could always use some volunteers to help with the luncheon and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
The Auxiliary will be holding their monthly meeting Thursday, November 17th @ 7:00.
Keep an eye on the activities calendar and come and help and participate when you can.
We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you at the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.
Be safe and stay healthy.
Jim O’Neil
President, VFW 4249 Auxiliary
Our November meeting is Tuesday Nov. 1 2022 at 7 P.M. We were able to hold our October meeting, although barely enough for a quorum. Topics for discussion were largely centered around fund raising events. I maintained that fundraising, although always important, is meaningless without member participation.
The Post is sorely in need of members stepping up and helping with basic things like attending the monthly meetings.
Post 4250 was started with the intention of bringing in more VETERANS. AMVETS differs from the Legion and VFW only in membership requirements. We do many fo the same programs aimed at assisting Veterans. This Post was charted in August 2014 and will need your help to continue to be viable.
As VFW Commander Simon said, Veterans Day is November 11. The service, held at 11:00 A.M. it for ALL Veterans, that includes AMVET members. Please plan on attending.
Also, as Commander Simon mentioned. It is AMVETS turn to host the November Steak Fry on Sat. the 12th and , as usual, help will be needed.
Have a great month!
Dan Boutell
Commander, AMVETS Post 4250
