The Independents Day parade hosted by the Croton American Legion was held on July 6, 2024. The parade was participated in by members of VFW Post 4249, Post 4249 Auxiliary and the Honor Guard. Also included was our current Chaplin, A.J. McKinley, his son and grandson.

Charles McKinley informed us that in July he was starting as Veterans Service Officer for the Newaygo County Veterans Affairs Department.

The August Post meeting will be Thursday the 8th at 5:30 P.M.

The August Steak Fry will be Saturday the 10th and is hosted by the AMVETS.

Cornhole Tournaments are held on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Pool leagues are Wednsdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. Euchre starts at 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and 6:30 p.m. on Fridays..

The Auxiliary will be having their monthly fish and shrimp fry on Friday, August 2nd.

We will be holding our monthly meeting Thursday, August 15 @ 7:00. Please come to the meeting because we need at least 5 people to hold a meeting. Thank you.

Keep an eye on the activities calendar. Please help when you can.

We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you on the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.
