Our May meeting was fairly well attended. We were able to swear in the new officers as was expected.

The VFW will be hosting the the Steak Fry on Saturday, June 11th.

The next meeting Post meeting will be June 9, 2022.

Flag Day is Tuesday, June 14. We will be doing Flag Retirement starting at 9 a.m. for those who wish to participate.

The Euchre group continues to Tuesday’s and Friday’s . at 6:30. p.m.

I hope that you all had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day holiday weekend.

A BIG THANK YOU!!!! Goes out to all that helped prepare and take care of the Memorial Day luncheon that was put on by the Auxiliary.

The Auxiliary will be having their monthly fish fry or shrimp, Friday, June 4th, from 5:00-7:00pm.

As of right now I don’t think the Auxiliary will be doing a fish fry in July due to the holiday weekend. If this changes we will announce it in the July Newsletter.

The Auxiliary will be holding their monthly meeting Thursday, June 16th @ 7:00.

Keep an eye on the activities calendar and come and help and participate when you can.

We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you at the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.

Thank you to all who were able help us with our Steak Fry in May.

Our May meeting was adequately attended. We were able to hold elections for 2022/2023 Officers. The new officers were sworn in as well at that meeting.

AMVETS Department of Michigan will be holding their 2022 State Convention June 24,25 &26, 2022, at the Double Tree Hilton Grand Rapids Airport Hotel in Grand Rapids this year. Located at 4747 28th St. S.E.

Reservations must be made on or before June 3, 2022 to insure the reduced AMVETS rate.

Our June meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. We hope to be able to begin the planning stages for our 2022/2023 programs at that meeting.

Attracting new members is always a priority. With that in mind we are hoping to start a membership drive in the near future. If you are a veteran, AMVETS membership only requires an honorable discharge to be eligible. Please consider joining our post.
