Well, Spring is supposed to be here but it hasn’t fully made up it’s mind yet.
The Auxiliary will be having their monthly fish and shrimp fry Friday, May 5th from 5:00-7:00p.m.
The Auxiliary will be holding their monthly meeting Thursday, May 18th @ 7:00. Please come out for the meeting because we need at least 5 people in order to hold a meeting. Thank you.
Keep an eye on the activities calendar. Please help when you can.
We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you at the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.
Stay healthy and safe!
Jim O’Neil
Auxiliary President
Our regular monthly meeting for May is on Tuesday the 2nd at 7 P.M. This meeting is important as we will hold final nominations for 2023-2024 Post officers, followed by elections.
Our last meeting drew enough members for a quorum and we held first
nominations for next years officers. The May meeting will largely determine our future as viable Post. As you all know, if there are no officers there cannot be a post.
Our last meeting brought a visitor, Fred Wheetley, AMVETS Riders Chapter 1988 President. They have plans to hold an escort of Middle Eastern Conflicts Wall and Michigan Vietnam Wall from Newaygo VFW/AMVETS to downtown Baldwin. Details can be found in the canteen and also at http://www.amvets4250.org/dual-escort/ We will be needing some help with this event.
As stated they will begin staging at 9 A.M. We would like to provide some sort of food offering, which we will discuss in our Monthly May meeting.
Last but not least, AMVETS will be hosting the Steak Fry this month. Help is always needed, so if you can we would appreciate it.
Have a great month!
