The VFW Day of Service is Saturday, May 4, 2024. Volunteers will be meeting at 10 a.m. in downtown Newaygo to clean up the parking lots, etc.

The Steak Fry will be held Saturday the 11th and is hosted by the AMVETS.

The May post meeting will be Thursday the 9th at 5:30 p.m. 2024-2025 Post Officers will be sworn in at this meeting.

Cornhole tournaments are held on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.. Pool leagues are Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 1:30. Euchre starts at 2p.m. on Tuesdays and 6:30 on Fridays.

Wednesday night Burgers and more will continue as long as the volunteers continue to to show up.

We will be honor our fallen comrades on Memorial Day, May 27. The Honor Guard will be conducting services at eight local cemeteries, and weather permitting, a wreath drop at the Bridgeton bridge. A final ceremony will be held at the post at 12:00 p.m. sharp, followed by a light lunch. The schedule is displayed in the canteen as well as on our website: http://vfw4249.org

The Auxiliary will be having their monthly fish and shrimp fry on Friday, May 3rd .

We will be holding our monthly meeting Thursday, May 16 @ 7:00. Please come to the meeting because we need at least 5 people to hold a meeting. Thank you.

We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you on the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.
