The Logging Festival will be in Newaygo from September 2-4, 2022. A list of activities is in the HiLites Shoppers Guide on page 12.
No parade was planned for this year.

The Steak Fry is on the 10th of Sept. and is hosted by the VFW.

The September Post 4249 meeting is Thursday Sept. 8 at 5 p.m.

Veterans should be aware of newly passed Pact Act.for Veteran. All Veterans should enroll in the VA Healthcare System.

The euchre group continues to meet Tuesdays and Friday at 6 p.m.

I hope that you all have a safe Labor Day holiday weekend!!

The Auxiliary will not be having their monthly fish fry for September due to the holiday weekend. There have been rumors that we wouldn’t be doing the fish fry anymore. Not true. We won’t be doing the fish fry on holiday weekends as a rule of thumb. If this changes we will let you know. We plan on doing the fish fry the first Friday in October and the Auxiliary will be doing the steak fry the second Saturday in October.

The Auxiliary will be holding their monthly meeting Thursday, September 15th @ 7:00. Please mark it on your calendars.

Keep an eye on the activities calendar and come and help and participate when you can.

We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you at the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.

Thank you to all who helped with our August Steak Fry. I’m not sure of the final tally but it looks like we cleared between $400-$500. Money that we will use to help fund future Post programs.

We would like to welcome a newly transferred in member to our ranks. Kasi Ostyn was a Member-at-Large and has also accepted a leadership position as Adjutant. She is a great addition to our post and hopefully we can attract many more of her era to build our organization for future growth.

We will be resuming Burrito night again this month on Saturday the 24th. Serving from 5-7 p.m. followed by Karaoke 6:30 to 9:30.

Also, on the 17th we were asked to serve burgers for a group from Garfield Township who is having a Birthday party. Of course no Birthday party can be complete without some sort of entertainment, so Karaoke will again be from 6:30 to 9:30

Please don’t forget to attend our September membership meeting Tuesday Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
